Nope, not at all - it can actually be either but it's generally a Christmas tradition from everything I could find about it the past few years - here's a little history if you'd like :) (scroll down it's highlighted in purple)

Merry Christmas to you & yours!!

@duglop I thought bayberry candles were the New Year’s Day thing. Did I screw up?

The bayberry candle is 3/4 gone already... seems to be right on target

The 1 sound I absolutely dread especially during the holidays, is a siren (due to a couple experiences I endured when I was a volunteer fire fighter back home)... they've been all around tonight already...

Merrry Christmas COSO. Thank all YOU guys for keeping it real, and for all the support this last 12 months & always. Gawd bless you every one! Christmas wishes to you and yours, from me and mine.🙏 👍 🤩

@duglop Maybe a nice stout or porter or christmas ale

I used part of my Christmas money to get a present for one of the reborn dolls I got last Christmas, a cute pink ruffled outfit. Now I just need to get her some booties.

I am sick of cookies - tonight put out some steak for me and you'll get better presents!

Awwww .... our friends across the pond are pretty good at causing a few tears! Have a good laugh, too.

Well, this isn't totally true for me, I AM a nice person til pushed

I haven't done this in quite some time The bayberry candle tradition if you light a bayberry candle at the first star you see and it burns through the night and goes out on its own it's supposed to be good luck... Just try not to fall asleep or at least put the candle in the sink better be safe than sorry

Hey by the way Merry Christmas to those on the other side of the world
