So tired of gun nuts comparing apples to oranges (car accidents killing kids vs school shootings killing kids)....I don't recall a car going into a school and killing kids in recent years... I don't recall schools having to have lockdowns because of a car accident inside the school halls... I don't recall of any schools having to teach their kids how to protect themselves because of a car accident happened inside the school...
@duglop cars are some of the most heavily regulated consumer products. so the comparison actually shows that regulation works to reduce deaths so therefore we should regulate guns at least as much as cars. so next time someone does that point it out - traffic lights, cross walks, center divides and speed bumps are put in place after car accidents. and all drivers have to be licensed and pass tests. Reckless drivers can lose their license - and so on.
