@ATXJane @XOshiloh and I'm ok - it didn't bother me much actually this year - usually I can't see/hear them (they're shot off down by the river but they must have changed locations a little because I could see them from my window) - so went down and took some video - Shuri was in the bathroom so I had some soothing cat music playing for her... she's out & about already too... not much to do for a cat compared to a dog - she won't sit still long enough :(
It’s been a long time since I’ve had a cat. I think dogs are probably more straightforward. We did offer ours some tranquilizers, though not a massive dose. And although they haven’t been knocked out, they get it when we name the threat they’re barking at. And they generally turn the barking back off.
I miss doing fireworks but keeping the canines happy is incredibly more fulfilling.
I hope y’all collectively have a decent evening!

What do you do for a freaking out cat? We’re a dog household, but this year our previous conditioning is finally paying off.
Are you doing ok?
