@duglop Cats can hold grudges for longer than that.

@AskTheDevil actually that's not true, unless a cat goes through something very traumatic their memory span is usually 16 hours give or take

@duglop I'll make sure to let the thousands of cats I've lived with know that! They're so bad at science!

@duglop But I have lived with cats. Cats that decide they don't like a person will continue to avoid or sometimes even revenge themselves on a person for years.

I'm not sure how they've conducted this, but I've observed cats taking a dislike that appears to remain for lengthy periods, to humans, dogs, other cats.

Cats take most minor incidents in stride, but they can remember those who've offended or pleased them.

@AskTheDevil ok... but I think I'll stick wiith the countless experts that say otherwise...

@AskTheDevil PS - I'm 58 - I;ve had a dog and/or as cat in my life for 55 of those years - and have yet to see a grudge - then again I don't abuse animals - and THAT'S when a dog/cat will hold a grudge...

Follow

@AskTheDevil PS - I've worked in animal shelters - so I think I know a little something about this - an abused animal takes time to recover (if at all) - an accidental step on a tail will be forgotten in a matter of hours... there IS a difference as I've said...
