Anybody else out there brave enough to admit they are a Star Trek geek? Oh and it doesn't matter if it's a movie the original series or any other series or any fan made video, or any audio story for any comic book or book... I am a 100% Star Trek geek
@GlennS thanks but I'm not a newbie
@GlennS I've been around for quite a while I'm just a type that likes to start Toots and conversations
@duglop
I guess I am. A bit.
I’d unplug my telephone while watching Star Trek TNG when it originally aired. 😁
It was a holy hour for me. No vcr, yet.
@duglop I'm not, but i'm not mean about people who are. Everybody geeks about something! The other night i was watching a movie with friends, and was geeking about all the MCM furniture in the apartment of the 2 main characters.😂
@Christmas_Snow um.... Gee thanks live long and prosper 😁
@duglop 😂 ❤️
@Christmas_Snow @duglop
You should hear me carry on when I'm watching older movies on Turner Classic. I love looking at how they presented older homes and decor. I love the house in the original Parent Trap - the one in California. And I'm in love with the house Bing Crosby has in Holiday Inn.
@MariaAragon64 Oh, that house in Holiday Inn is pretty! I also really like the room where they have that indoor fire pit thingy in the movie White Christmas. And i'm one of those people that get annoyed when i watch a movie or tv show, and the inside floorplan of the house doesn't match the house they show on the outside! I play Yoworld and when i do an indoor room, i'm always trying to match it to the outside (eg window & door placement, etc).
@duglop
@duglop Pretty sure I didn't miss an episode of the original series. Watched the Next Generation quite a few times.
@kittentude My kind of person right there I've got every single episode of every single series including fan made videos in fact I'm going home and watch some shortly lol
@duglop I watched the original series as a child and everything since. I'm not a geek level fan, but I do love the Star Trek universe. I recently got hooked on Star Trek Strange New Worlds series.
@MariaAragon64 The original series was way ahead of its time because every bit of technology comes into play in the real world today 😁
@duglop my grandpa got me hooked on the original Star Trek. We would watch reruns on Saturday afternoons in the 80’s. I’ve been a geek since then. 😂
@duglop TNG is my all time favorite
@cwithav make it so
@duglop It is one of my top geekeries. After Doctor Who, before DC & Marvel. I consult Memory Alpha a fair amount.
@00pi my kind of person I'm also very big into Battlestar Galactica Lost in space space 1999 and a handful of others
@duglop Babylon 5, Red Dwarf, Blake's 7, The Prisoner, Firefly for me. Watched the original Galactica new as a small child, enjoyed the revival for the most part. There was at least some flirting with shark jumping there, though.
@00pi I haven't watched very much Doctor who but I must admit it always had me intrigued especially day of the Deleks movie/series
@duglop I saw The Five Doctors, the 20th anniversary special, when it landed on PBS. That makes 40 years for me, almost. I have seen every episode they haven't lost and most of reconstructions, both from stills by amateurs and animated by the BBC. I love Star Trek, but only The Doctor is The Doctor, no offense to the EMH.
@duglop i got hooked watching TOS first run when i was a kid and i've been addicted since. really enjoying the strange new worlds and lower decks series
I must admit I am more partial to TOS and TAS because of the cheesy special effects back in the day and sound effects back in the day
