@Isces1 Thank you! I always try to be strong on Memorial Day to honor my buddy Steve - he'd want it that way! But this year I couldn't... I think Steve would have understood... and that doesn't include the tears for all the other fallen brothers/sisters WE lost as a nation!

I think grief is often a fitting tribute to the love for those we have lost.
As a society, we accept that people in the armed services can both be gone too soon and at the necessary moment.
