Any recommendation of movies? Any kind of horror films. Thank you!

@draze

I finally watched 2013's Evil Dead recently and I was pleasantly surprised. It was good. Gory, which I don't need, but it wasn't just gore. Not so much slapstick as the Bruce Campbell ones, but definitely has the same vibe.

@Agatha is the Evil Dead 2013 and 2021 a sequel?

@draze

There's not a 2021, but there's a 2023 coming out tomorrow!

They're sequels, but not to the original movies. They're also not quite a reboot. Sorta. Raimi said they coexist in the same universe. Bruce Campbell is exec producer of ED Rise. Early reviews are very good.

@Agatha @draze Tucker & Dale vs. Evil lands in this same general area.

Especially on a day like today.

@Agatha yes, I’m sorry it’s 2023. Thank you, definitely would watch both.

@draze Burke and Hare! Was a very funny dark film, could be loosely classified as "horror." Horror Comedy maybe?

Simon Pegg, Andy Serkis, Tim Curry.

@draze oh then this may be a great flick for you. Not too taxing of a watch. Fun to just roll with.

@Coffee_and_Salt @draze
I've never heard of this but I love the cast so going to check it out

@Idissent @draze the cast is *chefs kiss.* Each of those dudes gets my vote every time.

The humor is super dark. Just as a fair warning.

@draze Us, Get Out, Nope, It Follows, Smile, It, It Chapter 2, A Quiet Place (1 and 2), The Faculty, Under The Skin... all very good. Midsommar and Hereditary if you want to be bludgeoned by intensity and emotional horror lol

@lilyunsub I’ve known some of these films. But psychological horror such as Smile idk if i can endure it. πŸ˜…
