Good choice. All those people who got gold in weapons are going to feel pretty stupid when the werewolves come.

Oh, you can keep Zeno's aging. Maybe not with the arrow, but definitely with the tortoise.
To reach 60 years old, you must first get to 59, then 59.9, then 59.99, then 59.999, then 59.9999, and so on.
As you can see, there's an infinite number of steps, so you "can't possibly" (says Zeno) reach 60..
Though, personally if I were going to do Zeno's aging, I'd probably start at 34.
@jasod @danialexis
Sir, I say, sir, I am just an old country theoretical mathematician. I don't cotton much to these fancy arguments. I reckon 60 - 20 = 40, and I ain't never met, I say, never met a 60 year old who lived infinity years.
Mayhap y'all do things differently o'er yonder, but 'round here we get old the reg'lar way: one year per year, and that's how we like it.
Gawd bless ya now, and lay off'n the cactus juice.
@ACG2 Usually I pick them earlier, but this one hid from me. I didn't even know about it until today.
I've gotten behind on my #dragonfly #photos. Here is a Male Blue Dasher.

No. Even if there are an infinite number of possible tomorrows, one of them will come in 1 day.
A spatial analogy: Start in the center of a circle of radius 3. Choose a random straight line and start moving. When r=2, you say "I am closer to the edge than the center." Even though you don't know which of the infinite edge points you will reach, you know you arrive in 1 unit, and the center is 2 units away. 1<2.
The *direction* may be unknown, but the *distance* is certain.
Dear, #HOA,
I have received your kind note of July 10, and it did not seem passive-aggressive at all.
Thank you, however for reminding me that I am not letting my #grass grow high enough. Since 3 inches is apparently too short, from now on I will only cut my #lawn to a height of 9 inches, as you suggest.
ex oh ex oh, {heart emoji} luv mike
@LlamaMountainStudioArts I'm using deer netting right now, but since the garden has no roof, it's not an effective barrier.
@BookWorm33333 I am currently at maximum tomato. I even planted tomatoes in the spot reserved for jalapenos. I even have 5 tomatoes in containers on my patio.
I'll get enough. It's just annoying that squirrels destroy them, but don't eat them.
@Agatha No no no. The squirrels don't *eat* the tomatoes.. A squirrel will steal one, take a single bite, spit it out, throw the tomato away, and then... steal another tomato.
@jasod Is it enough? I don't know. Some days I think it's probably not.
Still, even if america collapses into a dystopian black hole, i'd give the same advice.
Be kind. Help ppl. Change the gov when you can. Push back when you can't. Try to build a better place.
You may not see result today, or this year, or even in your lifetime.
Hell, a significant % of ppl in this country want me dead bc of what i think and believe, but i'd rather die trying to do good, than hiding in a bunker.
@jasod I would ask: What can you do locally? The turmoil in this nation may be national, but the battles are fought locally: school boards, city halls, state legislatures
I get it. What do we do about the rise of violent nationalism? the surging moral panics? widespread intolerance and injustice?
We fight these like a nation-wide fire. Everyone everywhere puts out the fires where they are.
Will this work? I don't know. I hope so. Never let what you can't do blind you to what you can.
@CinnamonGirlE ...and that's not how baptist churches work anyway. The pastor isn't a Pope or a King. He doesn't tell people to get out.
The pastor isn't the church. The congregation is the church. The pastor meets the needs of the congregation, or he gets the boot.
I've seen a lot of pastors get the boot.

@CinnamonGirlE Maybe they read the bible? Jesus Himself makes it pretty clear:
"By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit."
People know the difference between bread and stone. They know the difference between a fish and a serpent. And they know the difference between love and hate.
