Republican voters have so far cast more early ballots than Democrats in three of the key swing states, giving the party a potential ray of optimism with less than two weeks before Election Day.

More registered Republicans have voted in Arizona, Nevada and North Carolina than Democrats, according to publicly available state data. The party affiliation doesn't mean that voters have to vote for their party's candidate.

64 per cent of Canadian respondents said if they could cast a ballot, they’d put their support behind vice-president Harris while 21 per cent would support former president Donald Trump

Those who intend to vote Conservative in the next Canadian election. Forty-five per cent would back Trump while 42 per cent said they’d vote for Harris.

After decades of sitting on the sidelines of politics, Bill Gates, one of the richest people in the world, has said privately that he recently donated about $50 million to a nonprofit organization that is supporting Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential run, according to three people briefed on the matter.

The donation was meant to stay under wraps. Mr. Gates, one of the founders of Microsoft, has not publicly endorsed Ms. Harris

OTTAWA — The Trudeau government will announce a dramatic immigration cut Thursday, reducing new permanent resident numbers by almost 100,000 in 2025 after years of consecutive increases to the country’s immigration targets.
government is planning to decrease permanent resident intake from 485,000 this year to 395,000 in 2025. It is then expecting to further cut intake to 380,000 in 2026 and 365,000 in 2027.

The federal government is set to announce major changes to Canada’s immigration system on Thursday, three sources tell Global News.

It comes amid a push from up to 30 backbench Liberal MPs to have Prime Minister Justin Trudeau quit.

One of those sources said there will be a reduction in the number of permanent residents admitted to Canada on an annual basis in future years and changes to temporary immigration streams.
