considering Hamas was like "yeah we'd be happy to continue the cease-fire/prisoner swap" while Israel was like "ehhhhhhhhhh MAYBE," I'm disinclined to believe Israel's account on this one.
didn't they already do this once and it failed because Republicans will never hold their own accountable?
(also of course he's embracing the spotlight, that's the whole reason he's there)
