anyone know why obama is taking so long to endorse harris?
is there some political maneuvering i'm not seeing? what is up w/ this delay?
@singlemaltgirl some are saying he didn't want to upstage Biden's oval address and the launch of Harris's campaign. Supposedly he has privately endorsed her for now.
@dauphin87 Also, had the endorsements gone slowly, he would have been in a position to be the final catalyst. Like anything else in politics, strategy supersedes most everything else.
@Pat_Walrond w/ such widespread enthusiasm & immediate momentum, i'm surprised he would be the this slow. π€
@singlemaltgirl He's not out of character though... He also waited last time until Biden was nominated; he seems to be very leery of being perceived as putting his thumb on the scale.
For me, I'm prepared to give him the right to his judgement, which has way more experience to back it up than mine does.

I've been told to think of him as a 'closer'. Don't know if that's the reason.
