@dauphin87 No, they don't.
@Willowy π€ ambivalent
@dauphin87 I'm not ambivalent about it, it annoys me. Same feeling I get from knowing they don't teach cursive in elementary school any more. I mean, these are basic life things. Civilized things.
@dauphin87 Based on my experience with my grade 12 students, the answer is no. Many of my students are baffled if I tell them it's a quarter till or twenty after. They need 1:45 and 9:20. π
I taught my kid, but they do teach it in school here also (idk how thoroughly, bc they're young)
@dauphin87 Fluke or it stopped in the 90's I was watching a young teen cousin for my aunt and they kept asking me what time it is. At that time I was sorta collecting clocks and in my living room where we were there were at least 10 clocks all analog. After the x number of times being asked 'what time is it' I pointed out all the clock and asked cant you tell time? Response was I can tell time but not on those kind of clocks. π²
@dauphin87 nope
