@LnzyHou @dauphin87 We've seen worse than Jan 6. Lincoln was assassinated. States seceded. Lot of people during civil rights movements were assassinated. We just need to take it seriously that it isn't "just politics".
We’ve never had an elected president try to overthrow the government. Nothing close to that level of treachery.
Insurrection 2.0 is coming.
Nope. This country still has a long, long way to go. Our #politics will change, and things that were relied upon as 'traditions' or 'norms' will be codified in law. No more F-ing around. The 'people who should have known better ' DID know better. They will be out on their ears. They will have some restitution to make before they are in good graces again, if that can even happen. They just chose to take the low road, the path of lesser good for all.

@dauphin87 When it depresses me I remember what we were. Watch old civil rights, American First, American Bund, desegregation, freedom summer, and womens rights documentaries and you will see we're better than we were but some of that same mental crap is still out there. We just can't let them roll us backwards.
