Why am I not surprised that the onlyTrump trial that looked like it would actually start in time to finish before November has just been delayed? When you’re rich, you can delay accountability forever, it seems. Let’s face it, folks. The only thing standing between us and another Trump administration is Biden winning five crucial states, and some of those he only won by a few thousand votes in 2020. That’s the election, and the numbers don’t look good. The national popular vote is irrelevant.

@johnldeboer The polls lie. Ignore them. I would even go so far as to say they are a Republican op that has been going on for DECADES. The only "poll" that matters is voting in November.

Biden is going to win as long as we GOTV!

@danielbsmith GOTV in Arizona, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Georgia!

@johnldeboer I'm in politically purple NC. I think Biden and the Democrats have a real shot here despite the gerrymandering.

@danielbsmith I’m in N.C. too, but the state is redder than it was last time around, unfortunately. I don’t see it going for Biden.

@johnldeboer The urban center is blue. Both east and west edges are red. These roughly balance out in terms of voting. You must live in a more rural area like me.

@johnldeboer We're talking about voting so why does control of the legislature matter? Other than for gerrymandering purposes anyway.

@danielbsmith What they tried last time, they could try again - dispute the electoral count. If successful, the House votes for president with one vote per state. More states are controlled by Republicans than Democrats, and N.C. Is one of those.

@johnldeboer I think you are confusing the NC State House with the US Congress House. Both are controlled by Republicans so the danger is real though.

The solution is to vote. We must remove enough Republicans from the US Congress House to switch it to Democrats. And we need all of these traitors to be denied their seats under the 14th amendment.

@danielbsmith No confusion. The state House does the gerrymandering, which leads to a Republican majority in the U.S. House. Democrats have a good shot at taking over the U.S. House in November, but the Senate outlook looks bleak. Without the Senate, no Democrat agendas, including Supreme Court justices, will get passed.

@johnldeboer Ok. That's fair. Thanks for connecting the dots of your thinking for me. I wouldn't count the Senate out yet though. I think it's going to be a very blue November.
