1\ Merry Christmas Eve CoSo!

So many are trying to be good neighbors right now. It's Christmas season which can be a time of mourning instead of mirth. And much of the US is currently experiencing extreme cold, the kind that can kill you if you're unprepared.

I lost my grandmother a few days after Christmas in 2008 and my grandfather over Thanksgiving weekend 2017. My extended family this year is sick, some with COVID, so we are not able to meet today which is our tradition.

2\ While I do miss them I'm not sad. Do you know why? It's because those that have passed were believers. I believe they are in heaven and that I will be with them again some day.

Jesus conquered death. In this is , the great hope of , that death is but a gateway to a new life for everyone that puts their faith in God for salvation. Our sin nature, that part of us this is selfish and imperfect and gets in the way of us doing good, will be stripped away leaving only goodness.

3\ So I have joy this holiday season despite the setbacks. It is a positive worldview.

Let the peace of God envelope you this season. Give Him your pain and fears. He can turn your tears into joy too.
