Does anyone use Plex as a media server to stream to external (non-computer) sound systems? Occasionally I'll discover FLAC files that play perfectly on the PC through Plex but won't play when they're externally streamed. It's not because they're FLAC files - almost all FLAC files play without incident. Anyone have any ideas of why this might be happening and how to fix it?

(I raise this question with some trepidation. The last time I asked a tech related question, it got.... weird. LOL)

All I know about Plex is that their directories sometimes show up on r/opendirectories. There's apparently some privacy setting that can be set to allow/ (prevent) this.

If the external device is accessing the Plex server directly, and it's not every FLAC file that has an issue; then there's some header in the file that must be different. You should be able to compare the files.
