Something I have noticed about my US homeowner friends is that they often seem to need to replace their roof!
How long is a roof expected to last over there because the only Brits I've ever known to replace an entire roof are those who've had some catastrophic damage from extreme weather, fire or falling trees.

roofs can be dirt cheap, cheap, ok, wind resistant, hurricane resistant.

I need to repair my roof. New one 25 yrs ago cozt me 5k. This year they want 25k. I may be going brit on this.
