Nice to meet like-minded folks!

Took advantage of the cooler temps yesterday to make one of my most popular sweet treats! My peanut butter cheesecake truffles!

Every time I get financially comfortable...capitalism pulls the rug out just a bit more

There's no end to this is there?

Made some Jaegerschnitzel on a Monday night! Fried pork cutlets in a scratch-made mushroom and onion gravy...added my own variation of German potato salad with roasted potatoes, kewpie mayo and spicy brown mustard. It'll make you say "Jawohl!" 😁

Used some leftover Korean takeout to make daeji bokkeumbap (aka: pork and kimchi fried rice). Nice and spicy weekday lunch!

With the collapse of birdland, a little quote just came my way I found apropos, especially to those new to CoSo.

"Change is inevitable. Growth is optional."
- John C Maxwell, author

While many are signing up here, being forced to change, I hope many can also see it as a way to reinvent, adapt, evolve, and grow in a positive sense. This place already seems much better and friendlier than bluebird ever was. Let's keep growing that!

Onward and upward!

While I try to stay positive, some of the folks coming in, really need to have better etiquette.

We are a community of users. Not twitter. Not a tech company. Not a replacement platform. All are welcome to join, but please don't be an asshole.

Elon Musk is making a great case for why we should tax the hell out of billionaires.

Hello to all the new out there!

Evacuating twitter can be daunting, but don't worry, you'll be back at it in no time!

Please introduce yourselves!

Made an impromptu trip to Austin last Saturday for some cookbook hunting, but of course I had to stop by an old favorite: the Draught House! (Under toasty heaters naturally)

Pictured are two of my favorite in house brews: hop gold and red planet!

The Firehouse scrolling too fast for you? Tap on a post and scroll down, this will stop the Firehose and you can peruse it at your leisure 🥰

Just a quick reminder to everyone that using hashtags makes it easy for people who don't want to see stuff about, say, politics or the former guy to filter that stuff out. Adding hashtag politics to your posts doesn't take much space and keeps the place working better.

What does Excel have in common with an incel?

They both think something's a date.

Post wurstfest brunch. Using leftover Costco ready-made drummies, I made chicken croquettes with a bit of Tony Chachere's, and some kewpie Sriracha mayo! Rajesh approves!

After the way has run into the ground over the last 8 years, just couldn't get enough of a broken , high property taxes, lax gun laws, massive amount of gun deaths, most uninsured in the country, him taking dark money, ignoring climate change, and decided to re-elect him.

I hate this state

It's my day off, so I made chai French toast for brunch on a gloomy morning. I used chai spice in the custard mix. Rajesh loved it! Don't forget some real maple syrup!

Dear Republican Women,

It's just you and the voting booth once you get there.

Your piece of shit husband doesn't have to know which button you pushed.

Ever

The night before midterms I think we should all eat pancakes for supper.
