Totally agree. I have worked in tech for 35 years, worked for two startups. You have to know when it's time to leave.

What you do with the money when you cash out is totally up to you.

A lot of the bands used to bitch about Bill Graham's making money off the Bay area music scene. But he paid those guys, paid pretty well, and always paid on time.

Most of those bands would never have made it without Graham's "profiteering".

Art and commerce go hand-in-hand, and nobody knew that better than Bill Graham.

Graham was separated from his family, who had been marched off to the camps and gassed. He eventually was adopted by a family in New York and, years later, reunited with his sister, who used to cook and serve food for the crowds at Winterland.
