Frank Lloyd Wright has eight buildings on the UNSECO World Heritage Sites, & we’ve seen seven of them:

Pic 1: Unity Chapel (Oak Park, IL), the Robie House (Chicago), Hollyhock (LA), and Taliesen (Spring Green, WI)

Pic 2: Fallingwater (Bear Run, PA), Taliesen West (Scottsdale, AZ)

We’re going to see No. 8 today! Stay tuned!

Been to Fallingwater, too. I used to live in SW PA, maybe 25 mins away from the site. What an extraordinary place THAT is!

@countZZero @Route10 It does look amazing. I've heard structural fixes have had to be made there and at some of Wright's other buildings because he was trying experimental things in them.

@poemblaze @Route10

I was at Fallingwater in 1986, and then again in 1998 and 1999. In the 90s there was a big push for donations to repair concrete porches and decks because the original steel supports were not sufficient to bear the weight.

@poemblaze @countZZero I was in high school & saw a segment on 60 Minutes about the restoration of Fallingwater — & that day, I became a fan(atic) of FLW!
