Where Have All The Vaccines Gone?
by Cheryl Rofer
Now that the government has turned responsibility for covid vaccine distribution over to the private sector, we are seeing delays and shortages that didn’t take place during the declared state of emergency. To be effective, vaccines must be made easily available. Government distribution worked pretty well. What is happening now is not.

@corlin I can't help but think back to early distribution.. it took a long time to get a vax mostly because local places didn't have them available. I finally stole a car (borrowed) and drove to the VA twice because I couldn't get one close to home. The VA had very short lines cuz.. Detroit. :( The line at the TESTING area was hours long... I had to get bloodwork done and I thought I was going to die for sure...
So many people of color are still not vaxxed and it breaks my heart!
@corlin when I got my double shots on Friday, I asked the gal who was administering them about shortages. She said that after the first 3 weeks or so they have not had a problem, and said that the later afternoon/early evening appointments were faster in-and-out as well.
This was at Walgreens, I was 30 minutes early to my appt, and was done and out the door before my actual appt time. #covid #flushot
