Shit, that’s how most of our “biggest” “industries” are.
The government pays the difference because the preservation of the status quo and the lining of the pockets of the 1% is worth the expense to taxpayers... in the eyes of the 1% whose pockets are being lined and the stock owners who benefit from “stability” (aka stagnation)
