Zombie banks

It's an open secret that many of America's largest banks are "zombies" – institutions that are able to carry on despite having a negative net worth, thanks to "a combination of implicit and explicit government credit support."

Shit, that’s how most of our “biggest” “industries” are.

The government pays the difference because the preservation of the status quo and the lining of the pockets of the 1% is worth the expense to taxpayers... in the eyes of the 1% whose pockets are being lined and the stock owners who benefit from “stability” (aka stagnation)
