For my fellow readers:
I'm reading "Little, Big" by John Crowley. Though only 10% through it, and despite two small repetition flaws, I am amazed at the writing.
I'm happy to find another writer who creates sentences so chewy-delicious that I often must pause after reading them, staring into space to ponder and digest.
Along with Nicholson Baker and Richard Powers, Crowley has inserted himself into my top ten authors list with astonishing ease.

Twisting the post from @BenA a little:
Name a soundtrack album that is a great listen. Even if you've never seen the movie/show.
I have a few, but this one is easily in my top 3:

Today's listening has been mostly Basil Kirchin. Here's a choice cut. If it sounds too 'experimental' for your taste, skip to the 2 minute mark for a great, happy jazz piece.
Kids today (mostly) have no concept of the full album experience. Hey, it's OK to stream cuts from multiple artists, random order, willy-nilly, higgledy-piggledy. But sometimes you've just gotta stand up, take a few steps, search for that special vinyl, pull it out, admire the art, read the notes, slip the album from its aftermarket, anti-static sleeve, lay it on the platter, gently place the needle, then sit back and listen to side 1. In order and in full. Then repeat for side 2.
Sublime.
Perfect match for my "yay-another-dark-and-stormy-day" attitude.

Clarifying:
I have nothing against anyone who is religious, spiritual, etc. Indeed, I have my own version of 'spirituality' that may (or may not) align with yours, and for which I feel no obligation to defend or promote, or to use in an attempt to sway the opinions of others.
However, I have tremendous issues with those who choose not to think.
Don't tell me you believe that you were created by (a) God, but then choose to leave your brain in sleep mode.
My head, it spins.
Someone very close to me believes that climate change is fake news. She claims "it doesn't matter anyway, because God is in control of Earth" so all will be fine.
I point out that her Bible clearly states that God gave Man dominion over Earth. She has no response.
I ask her about increasingly severe weather across the globe. She wallows in conspiracy, stating that obviously "someone malicious" has figured out how to control the weather, and is creating havoc.

Every day is a good day for some prog. Dig it, friends.
@poemblaze No kidding! A feels-like of 105 in May. I am not looking forward to July/August.
