Experiment: I think it would be cool to have a haiku for each element in the periodic table telling a story about the element (its discovery or properties or name etc). Oh! And the first letter of the first 1 or 2 haiku lines must match the abbreviation (e.g. Au for gold).
Sample haiku for gold:
and beauty does sleep
under blankets of earth - dark
yet shines like a sun
Pick an element you like, or get a random from google (search for: random num 1 to 118)
@elmaxx I like it, but - the first letter of that first line should be an H. 🙂
@elmaxx 🤣 😂
@codeWhisperer Plutonium would be a good element for this I can't currently think of a haiku but here's my try
Public foe or friend
Has an inner glow from within
Ouch it can burn your skin
Oh dear, Bob Lazar
They said I didn’t exist.
Indeed, I am here.
Headstrong quicksilver
Goes where it will, unbound, free
It’s mercurial
My eyes! I can’t see!
Glowing, burning, it’s too bright -
Oxidation light.
Light- and life-giving,
In batteries, medicine
Very unstable
Higher in the sky,
Even to the stratosphere,
I take balloons there.
Noble gas I am
Every rainbow color -
See me in the signs.
Know when you use them
Radiant and quite intense
They show you the way
(krypton)
Ytturbium has
Boatloads of uses and it's
Not even that rare.
Needed to live, and
Always found on the table
Please pass the popcorn
Apparently this has caught my fancy 🙄
Boring? I think not
Brought by meteoroids and
Bound into borates
@codeWhisperer
ahem
Hydrogen
The lightest on the table
Most abundant element
The symbol is H
