: I am curious, does anyone reading this have trypophobia? I do, and it's very odd to me because my brain generally loves patterns and repeating elements in both design and music. But for some reason I feel immediate revulsion, disgust and even a vague sort of nausea when it occurs.

An interesting (?) aspect for me is that when it occurs, I first feel a strange [not sure of the word here but I think it's ] tightness in the back of my jaw.

Anybody else? No? Just me? 🙂

@codeWhisperer
I usually have a brief feeling of being imbalanced then I adjust. In art it makes me have to contemplate the possibility that there’s significance in the lack of order. There usually isn’t.
But I don’t react with any degree of revulsion mentally or physically.
So I certainly can comprehend that it affects each of us differently.

@Jeber I think that's part of it. I can look at (for example) a bee honeycomb or a sunflower with no problem, but when it becomes somewhat irregular (paper wasp nest, those ridiculous seed pods, etc.) I get the deepsqueams.
