Welp. got the son on a flight back to Seattle on Friday. There were only 3 seats left so it's good he got me up to tell me and we could get him on that one out of the local airport.

Greetings from NorCal. It is dark and 58F. My son's Wed flight got cancelled. I have tea which I need because my vacation is over. ::sobs::

Eep. My son is supposed to return to Seattle Wednesday AM via Southwest. They're only showing flight status out to the 27th right now . . . Oh well. I guess we'll see what happens.

It rained a bit this late afternoon. Warming us up for the rain to come, I guess. I had to put up my hood while I was bringing up the garbage cans.

I tried to watch the 2022 Elvis movie and well, I bailed. No matter how adorable Austin Butler is, a movie that explicitly models EP as a civil rights pioneer was just too massive a retcon for me.

In today's baking adventures, I am making cheese danish. The dough has been folded several times, and now it's in the fridge for some lengthy period of time.

Also, I am hopping mad that HBG is telling me it will take them 6 weeks to revert my last title with them. There's nothing I can do right now since my agent is closed until the 3rd. I'm confident she will get the reversion sooner, but honestly, the office was supposed to request the reversion before everyone shut down so there's that annoyance.

In an absolute miracle, Freddy went into his travel carrier without any trouble. He watched me bring it out and make sure it was clean, then we went for a long walk, and then he just went into his carrier. I played music during the drive because he likes music.

Freddy's vet appt went well. The vet told me Freddy was voted best Holiday Colors pet. (He is green and red) He's in good shape for his age (40ish) and got his nails trimmed and his beak buffed.
