I was 75% done with a cool wooden jigsaw puzzle when devil cat jumped on it and by the end, she'd chewed up 3 pieces. Alas.

3.94 inches of rain at the house in the last 24 hours. Yeah. It's wet out.

A second tree along the driveway fell into the neighbor’s field. I think there might be one more at risk. If so, I hope it falls in the field too. #NorCalStorm

All things considered the storm aftermath is ok at the house. Only one tree down though there were many branches none of which took down fences. Walking in the fields is treacherous because water is flowing underground via gopher holes so the ground can look fine but you end up stepping into a hole. #NorCalStorm

So, one tree came down on the driveway but fell into the neighbor's field. The fence is smashed but the driveway is clear. I did clear a medium-small branch. We can get in and out which is good. Later, will check for other downed trees.

Greetings from NorCal. It's too dark to see any storm damage other than something that fell over on the deck that I would have thought was way too heavy to blow over. It's 53F with a light rain. Hoping the driveway is clear! Last night was wild.

It’s raining. Of course it poured when I was bringing up the garbage cans. It’s cold too.

New Year's greetings from NorCal. It is dark and 42F. The elderly cat is annoyed at little doggo Jane burying under the covers. She keeps meowing and slapping the moving pile of bedding. My first cup of coffee of 2023 is excellent.

Greetings from NorCal. It's 53F and raining. Yesterday around 1:30 PM I thought I heard thunder. Later I went out with the dogs and saw that one of the huge oaks at the creek had come up by the roots, That's the sound I heard. The tree was over 60 years old.

There’s water running in the creek for the first time in years. Bad news is a large oak tree came down.

Greetings from NorCal. My son returns to Seattle today -- not via Southwest (who better be refunding me a chunk of change) I have tea. It's 56F and dark.
