My friend and I went for a drive out to see the covered bridge just outside of Princeton Illinois. The bridge was built in 1863.

Sitting outside enjoying my coffee and a beautiful river valley morning. The birds are singing up a storm. Hopefully that will be literal, there is a possibility of rain later and we desperately need it. The farmers need it, the highway patrol needs it, we had a dust storm south of here a couple weeks ago, and I need it because I have plants that need to be put into the ground but the ground is so hard I don’t want to try digging or planting right now.

"In a conversation with senior staff members, Trump said, 'Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.' In a separate conversation, Trump referred to the marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as 'suckers' for getting killed."

We’ve hit my least favorite time of year, the season of high humidity and massive quantities of mosquitoes. While it does make my hair nice and curly, I’m miserable the entire season. At least in the attic cold temps you can add clothing, you can only strip down so far in the sweltering heat and you need some clothing to sop up the sweat.

Oh how I hate Comcast! I have been trying to get equipment back to them since March 23rd. I have called them 9 times, most calls were at least 20 minutes but Monday was 2 hours and I just gave another 1/2 hour today. I tried getting any helpful response from their bot assistant online. It’s like the Republican Party, expensive, bad for your health, and greedy.

I stay with them because they are the only ISP in this hellhole with the speeds I need to stream television while playing online.

How is this being allowed? Why haven’t the feds stepped in? To say those who vote against a civil rights bill would have blood on their hands is not an outrageous statement. It’s the damn truth!

Fuck these Republican hate mongers.

I have to go to work and I don’t wanna! It’s not nice outside so I’m not missing out on beautiful weather but I just don’t feel like peopleing today.

Trump hasn’t yet been charged for walking off with top secret documents. This guy gets a slap on the wrist. Guess it’s all fair game now kids so knock yourselves iut!

The Weather Channel says there’s a risk of moderate allergies on a Sunday but today is low. Then why can I not stop sneezing?

Tomorrow is Easter, Ernie wants to get up early and see if he can catch the Easter Bunny. He wants to shake him down for a couple more jelly beans. Preferably the red ones.

We are under a severe thunderstorm warning, again. That’s been our weather pattern the past couple days, tornado warnings, watches and severe thunderstorm warnings and watches. Seems like it’s been this way for weeks but I’m pretty sure it’s only been for a couple days. Still it’s getting very old and tiring. It’s past time for warm and sunny.

So, next Sunday is Easter and my brother invited me to his house, forgetting once again that I work every damn Sunday regardless of holidays. The only holiday we close for is Christmas and that’s a relatively new thing caused by Covid.

So nice when your family pays no attention to anything in your life.

The current state of medical care in this area, we had two hospitals and one just closed its doors because they haven’t got the staff to run an emergency room. They had been contracted with a private company to staff it but they backed out of their contract. Pregnant woman are now going an hour away for care. Imagine driving an hour for care when you’re about to give birth. Hope those small towns between here and there have good paramedics but I somehow doubt it.

These people are scary ignorant. Got this from the local rag sheet.

Question: What did you learn from the pandemic? Answer: Don’t believe everything you read or hear. Narratives are produced and directed like a Hollywood script.

Michigan 1st state in decades to repeal 'right-to-work' law

"Michigan, long known as a mainstay of organized labor, on Friday became the first state in decades to repeal a union-restricting law known as “right-to-work” that was passed over a decade ago by a Republican-controlled Legislature."
