@Lizzz @danielbsmith @Jorro @MidnightRider A Christian is merely a follower of the teaching of Jesus. Not all Christians are in it for profit. Too many are but there is a core group who are honest believer trying to do, say and be what Jesus exemplified.
@MidnightRider You’re assuming the real ones have the power to do so. Most do not and those who do aren’t comfortable with that type of confrontation. All they can do is be the best they can be and hope it helps.
Politics of religion are worse than the politics of government. Those people will shiv you and justify it with a scripture. Why do you think I haven’t been in a church the last 20 years?
@cjcrew @MidnightRider I haven’t been in church in years too , why bother ? They won’t change, they think ( among other things) that Trump was chosen by God , do you really believe they will change? I know them and they won’t change.
@Jorro @MidnightRider They won’t change, it was like that before I was a sparkle in my dad’s eye and it will be like that when my body has become dust. Humans are humans. Not all are bad, quite a few try to change things, but mass human behavior hold on stubbornly to their assholery tendencies.
I like most people one on one but en masse we are a vile lot. We are attracted to power and hold to the delusion that power means subjugation of those beneath us. We’re unlikely to change.
