True freedom is the soul’s ability to find comfort in nothing, except the tactile response of the Cherry MX switches on this keyboard. My fingers are raw from typing out an impact statement explaining to my therapist why I think the world is a dangerous place. This is all over an unsecure line in one of the governments biggest bureaucratic cesspools. I will be fine, but there are so many we lose each day; lost and looking for help in a system that was never designed for them.

Say what you will about the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan; the evacuation effort going on right now is seriously impressive. Fire up a flight tracker, and look at the non-stop parade of transport aircraft going in and out of Kabul. Then consider all of the support on the ground and in the air you don't see.
The planning, coordination, and execution required to do this is just tremendous. The people making it happen deserve our recognition and respect.
