If for some reason you’re on the fence about voting for Biden, please VOTE for him to show your solidarity with the brave people of who are fighting to the death to save their democracy. The absolute least we can do (and we should do MUCH more) is to vote to defend OURS. Sitting out elections or casting a protest vote for a third party candidate risks handing America to Trump and Ukraine to Putin. Do NOT let that happen on your watch.

U for - Russia’s boot on their throat
Please honor their struggle and go out and VOTE!

If you’re rightly worried about the fate of America’s democracy, and worried that our fully-compromised MAGA legislators will do all they can to hand over to Putin, VOTE. Show your solidarity with the brave people. They’ve put on a master class in fighting for a democracy. They’ve risked their homes, jobs, and lives. The very least we can do is to VOTE for the future we want.

Almost two years ago, 400+ people participated a vigil for in my small North Carolina town. It’s time that we held more such vigils and showings of solidarity with the Ukrainian people in every community across America. Sadly, one reason for that would be to show our craven politicians that unless they support Ukraine’s war effort, we’ll vote them out in November.

If you’d like to show your solidarity with the courageous people of , there’s no easier option than VOTING. Show them that you value your democracy and your freedoms, and that you’ll elect leaders that honor our alliances and keep our promises.

needs our help more than ever. Putin is thrilled to see our MAGA Republican politicians helping his cause.

I bought a digital download of this painting by a Ukrainian artist on Etsy shortly after the start of the war but it seems universally relevant as war breaks out in .

Saluting ’s President Zelenskyy who shows Americans and the world how one truly fights for one’s democracy.

Sorry, Mr. Kirby, but there’s no way to put a logical spin on Biden’s decision to supply with cluster bombs. I worked with a guy who had worked at the Watertown Arsenal designing cluster bombs during the Vietnam era. His job included calculating the optimal design for the bomblet fragments to hit the jugular vein of the average Vietcong-height victim. He was a very weird, creepy guy. Don’t know whether he gravitated to this job because of that, or whether the job made him that way.

Good morning from the to the of who have endured unimaginable horrors, all the while trying to absorb the stresses of their beloved humans.

While we lament the assaults on America’s democracy, don’t lose sight of the courageous folks in fighting with everything they have to defend their democracy. Would we fight as tenaciously for ours? Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that, but we take the success of our American experiment for granted at our peril.

Normally, a candlelight vigil evokes feelings of reflection and hope. This past Friday’s vigil, sadly, evoked feelings of anger. In March 2022, a local prayer and peace vigil drew over 400 people, remarkable in a small town here in North Carolina. Friday’s vigil drew 50-60 people. I worry that the Ukrainian immigrants who attended both events thought interest in their struggle was waning, but the problem was *abysmal publicity*. Nobody even knew this was happening.

I attended a local candlelight vigil for this evening. It was very poorly publicized and drew only 50-60 people. The same group’s 2022 vigil at this spot drew over 400 people. I felt badly for the Ukrainian folks who attended both events and fear that they may see this as a loss of interest and commitment from the American people.

After a year of unimaginable terrorism perpetrated by , still stands, thanks to the patriotism, courage, and tenacity of the Ukrainian people. America, where people relinquish the chance to vote in a light drizzle, could learn a lot about true love of country and the need to defend our democracy from enemies foreign and domestic.

If any of your besotted MAGA acquaintances say *one single word* against President Biden’s courageous trip to , feel free to remind them that skipped the 2018 World War I memorial ceremony for America.
