Well, I tried. As I was taking some snapshots of the sunset, I spotted an owl in the trees out back. As it took flight, I tried to pan to capture it. As you can see, the result was artistic but more impressionistic than realistic.

Thinking that the owl sighting was worth mentioning when I came back inside, I told my husband I’d seen an owl and he said, “Yeah, I know.” Evidently this owl has been dive bombing the backyard koi pond of one of my neighbors, a golf buddy.
