I’ve got hot coffee, cookies, and a cooler full of cold bottled water and sports drinks ready for my awesome landscaping crew. Like most folks in this business, they’re immigrants, the owner of the company working alongside his two female employees and his very well trained little dachshund. These folks work their tails off and do a great job. What shocks me is that I’m their only client who gives them food and drink and generous cash tips. To my neighbors, I guess these folks are invisible.

@S_r_stone I have to say, I had my doubts, given the fact that I have two vigilant dogs, but this little fellow lies down out of the way watching the proceedings. I provide a water dish and treats, and all is well.

@cassandra17lina So good of you. I had drinks and snacks out for our roofers, but they were Amish. They brought their own, but still appreciated the iced down drinks and the snacks I offered. It’s just being kind and thoughtful.
