Mr. Tan Man is headed to the veterinarian this morning for his “senior exam.” Everyone in our pack is a “senior” now, and he’s leading the way at an estimated 12.75 dog years or 89 human years. All things considered, he’s in remarkable shape, especially for having been a stray, and then spent over 2 years in an outdoor shelter in South Carolina. #DogsOfCoSo

Dogs age progression isn’t quite as simple as multiplying by 7; it depends on the dog’s size and other factors. For example, at 58 pounds, Mr. Tan Man will be approximately 82 years old. Nonetheless, he’s doing great for his age, walking at least a mile a day in the leash.
