@carver_hudson i still think he's building an insanity defence, hoping to avoid Leavenworth and just get permanent house arrest.
@holon42 There's no way he'd end up with anything more than house arrest. Unless the law is changed all Presidents have 24/7 protection by the SS for the remainder of their lives.
That would be far too complicated to do in a real prison.
Not to mention the precedent set that you can send a President to prison like regular people. It would be a first and since everyone is terrified as to what that means it's not going to happen. They'll find a reason not to put him where he belongs.

@holon42 while it would be HELLA amusing to see 45 up in the stocks in the public square. At this point i'd be happy if they just forced him to live at Mar a Traitor for the rest of his days, built a wall around that and take away all his access to communications so I never have to see or hear him again.
The truth of the matter though is sociopaths don't really care so much about prison. Take away their money however, is genuine punishment.
@carver_hudson as for money, it looks like legal fees and judgments will take care of that. living in a double wide near a gator swamp wouldn't be bad either.
