I don't really count tonight as a failure. Spending family time after work, and I might still get the walk in after. Mainly celebrating the fact I made that commitment and I've stuck to it mainly.

@Tarcos

That's awesome. That is exactly why I always loved a good punk show. Hell, even some Pop Punk shows were fun as hell.

Now I want to go to a concert.

@loucadle Hell yeah. I love a little camp, especially in scifi.

The thing with the bad punk shows is that punk is, at it's best, intentionally bad. The whole point is to suck. And everyone sucks together and that's what makes it fun.

Tonight might be the second time in 10 days where I miss my goal of doing at least a 1 mile walk every day. Small steps of progress are still progress. I'm happy I've kept up with it.

The dog wanting to walk also helps.

Finally finished a server change and slight cosmetic upgrade to my site. Hopefully, will be using it more to detail and motivate some of my side projects I want to build/new skills I want to learn.

Some brief details: justcarver.com/post/server-ref

@Vikky
Been kinda trying. But I have trouble GMing. I have trouble with the big picture story stuff.

@Vikky
I know what you mean. I know I've probably done a lot of insensitive things in my past, but I've really tried to be better overall the last like 5 years. Seeing this person being so closed makes me sad.
I love tabletop RPGs, and want to see more and more people get involved. Seeing people take steps to knowingly or unknowingly push people out bugs me.

I just got into an argument in reddit comments because on a post about increasing openness and inclusiveness in tabletop gaming, someone tried the "if you need this, play something else" style arguments.
The poster was all like "I'm part of the problem" and was trying to get better, but this commenter obviously wasn't.

Woke up early today for about 45 minutes of work. Planned to go back to bed. And now I'm more awake then half of the time I'm at work and can't go back to sleep. Ain't it lovely?

This is amazing and wonderful:

I need to dedicate more time to developing my own side projects. I want to grow my skills and I want to build epic things. But I also like relaxing. Tough balancing act sometimes.

Migrated my personal site to a new box using Docker and Nginx. Next thing I want to do is add a bot api for Discord and Slack. Yay networking. And Yay Digital Ocean's good documentation

I don't post on here nearly as much as I should, but I love you guys. The atmosphere around here is still so refreshing and wonderful.

Me: I was thinking the same thing!
Wife: "Oh no! We're predictable!" *fake wailing*
Me: I guess I'll have to change everything.
Wife: Fuck that! I ain't learning all that shit again.

I love my wife. Lol

So, finally sat down and watched The Cloverfield Paradox. Definitely think 10 Cloverfield Lane was a better overall movie, I actually enjoyed Paradox a fair bit. Story telling could have been better at times, and some decisions were a bit weird/silly, but I liked it.

The do, I was saying I wish you just got the pile of gold, instead of seeing a skin you already have and the "Oh here's a consolation prize".

@suullus

@Kit @Heucuva8

Yeah, that is my big complaint too. And my wife complaining that all she gets is duplicates. Think they should up the credit rewards and make it where you don't get dupes. If you were getting a dupe, get credits instead.

@Kit @suullus @Heucuva8
That said, I don't explicitly hate all loot boxes. Overwatch for example has provided several free characters and maps. Throwing a bit extra money at them doesn't seem terrible (though I think their loot box system needs some changes to how you get duplicates). Or Rocket League. It is cheap and it was given to me free on two platforms. Don't mind throwing money their way. But BF2's system shrieks of greed, since their was also a season pass and no promised free updates.
