@DachshundSaidSo Could he found some chocolates? Our Woodrow was deathly ill last week. Then we found two candy bar wrappers hidden in his bed under his blanket. One of our Christmas guests 😢😡Hope Bentley gets better soon. We were lucky it was milk chocolate.
@USAPatriot Daylight come and me want to go home.

Little Moments of Magic. Walking La Princessa this morning, spotted our neighborhood homeless guy, Ivan. Ivan makes the rounds, causing no problems. I speak bad Russian to him, he responds in Ukrainian. A big guy pulls up in a big truck and starts talking and gesturing to Ivan. I hung back, ready to defend him if the guy was abusive. Anything but! Turns out the huge guy's name is Anthony and he said with tears in his eyes: I love this guy!! (He was going to fetch a plate of food for Ivan.) ❤️ ❤️
@Engineonfire both
@Madken65 and even if you staunchly disagree we can communicate (most of the time) like civil humans and not assholes. Isn’t that nice 💕
I don't know about you but reading here and following threads is vastly different than other places...
I don't do twitter so I have no frame of reference there other than the shit some of you post where people try to flame each other, but on facebook, you incessantly see people just wanna create shite for shite's sake...
Here, when someone says something that throws you off, I go, why did they say that, and I seek to understand prior to the judgement...
AND THAT HAS MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE
So this is a wonderful gift. We have 3 weeks off this school year (same number of working days just shuffled) but enough time to spend some time with those I love. That is why I spent $287.00 buying school supplies 1/1 and untold hours dreaming of a new learning-unit (in my dreams, the students love it)
Katherine Stewart in NYT on why the Christian Right loves a despot like Trump...
This isn’t the religious right we thought we knew. The Christian nationalist movement today is authoritarian, paranoid and patriarchal at its core. They’re making a direct attack on democracy itself.
They want it all. And in Mr. Trump, they have found a man who does not merely serve their cause, but also satisfies their craving for a certain kind of political leadership.
@awk_it_up My union has saved me from questionable supervisory practices on multiple occasions. INHO Without the union, at least for teachers, educational progress would have been stifled for fear of job loss. I have to disagree with the idea that “unions” are generally conservative at least in my experience.
