Did anyone else's iPhone SE2 freeze up on them last night, so that they couldn't even do a hard reboot from safe mode? I'm waiting for support to call me in about an hour, but I just wondered if I'm the only one. I'm not exactly made of money to replace even the cheapest iPhone, y'know, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to keep an Android malware-free, either. Every Android I ever had was hacked within the month.

@Blue_Skyesr_here It's frozen while turned on. It's connected to my mother's wi-fi network with a color-by-number app running. It won't respond to the home button, the lock button, or even the sequence of volume up-volume down-lock button hold. It's just in la-la land. The only evidence it shows that I've done anything is the screen gets darker every once in a while, but that could just be the auto brightness feature; I don't know. I've just never had a phone behave like this.
@Blue_Skyesr_here Oh, dear God, no. Did they give you the option to take it to an Apple-certified store instead? And, did you have to pay? (I did not get insurance on the thing because--um, yeah, not made of money.)
@caaddison88 It was when they still weren't accepting people at the store because of COVID , and it was actually easier for me. They sent me a box with label overnight and FedEx picked it up. 2-3 days later, they mailed it back and left it at my door. It was still within the factory warranty so it didn't cost me anything (not even transportation or time).
@caaddison88 I had a phone that did something similar and got stuck starting up, nothing I tried worked and had to send it to Apple to be repaired.
