Robert's voice is incredible. Man, what a great show.

These two are pretty much my annual Halloween playlist while handing out treats. Slow, spooky, and heavy doom vibes for the kids.

@JPSCHWEIZER63 ours started around 5pm. Been a little over an hour and we've had 5 so far

I love Hallowe'en. I love the kids, the costumes, the fun, the candy. All of it.

Love seeing these ships as part of my morning commute across Halifax Harbour. This is the Boskalis semi-submersible heavy load carrier White Marlin with an offshore substation platform likely destined for an offshore wind project in the US.

End of the season. We put our camper away for winter storage today. Didn't get to use it as much this year but we had a lot of fun with it.

@JLong I just love the way he's stacked so many different musical elements. he was only 19 when this came out. quite a mature efort for a young artist.

Also love the use of traditional Sardinian instruments such as the Launeddas (similar sound to a bagpipe). I'm an ex-piper and something about that reedy sound that adds so much depth to this album.

On this cool gloomy Friday, I'm revisiting a 2015 gem from Argentina's Downfall of Nur - That triumphant guitar at the 14 minute mark in track II - The Golden Age always gets me.

@stueytheround forgot about that one. that was bad! The Expanse gets so many details correct, I'm left wondering if her mispronounciation was a mistake or intended.

Irks me that Chrisjen mispronounces 'Lagavulin' in The Expanse, but I suppose it is 326 years in the future.

If you slept on Totem Skin's 2015 album Weltschmerz (if so, shame on you - check it out!), Dödsrit was the result of that band's implosion. It's a different approach, being black metal/crust vs frenetic D-beat hardcore, but you can feel that influence.

Nocturnal Will is an absolutely incredible album. Twin guitars - soaring melodies - blistering blast beats. It's a contender for album of the year for me.

Rest in peace, Paul Di'Anno. Those early Maiden albums were formational for me. I remember not being able to afford Killers so I bought the cheaper Maiden Japan live EP instead when I was 11. Still my fave version of those early songs.
