When we have an opportunity to image gullies, we’ll definitely do it! This observation is to re-image these very nice gullies for change detection, to get better topography and to look for possible fresh deposits. This unnamed impact crater is located in Terra Sirenum.

HiRISE 3D: A Tongue-Shaped Flow Features in Deuteronilus Mensae

Our objective is to examine what appear to be two tongue-shaped flow features on the wall of a mesa. It seems that material moved down a steep slope then was bent by an obstacle.

HiPOD Tuesday, 4 Jan 2022: Slope Monitoring in Hale Crater

In a 2013 image, we saw examples of recurring slope lineae among the gullies and hills of this central portion of Hale Crater. In our newer image, we still see them, but it’s quite early in the season for them to appear at this latitude. When are these active? Are these leftovers from the previous year?
