I have asked before if anyone has ever heard him tell a joke? Not his puerile name-calling, but an actual joke?
Narcissists are notorious for not understanding humor or 'getting' jokes. This is because generally a joke or humor is not about them, so when they see approval (in this case laughing) and it's not about them, they can't process it.
