The #cats are tense today. Lilly, the girl we found a home for in Jan, had to come back as the kid we gave her to moved to a new place with dogs. She and the dogs did not get along. Her 2 slightly older cousins (girls) are doing ok with her return, her litter brother is very much not, and it's affecting all of em. Wouldn't think a few months would be enough for them to forget 4 years together but yep. Been a lot of hissing and growling from him. No fights yet, hopefully won't be but we'll see.
@blackknight95857669 try putting the return kitty in a pen for a few days so her brother can get used to her smell again on his own terms. My boy cat has facial recognition aggression and whenever my girl cat goes somewhere without him, he turns openly hostile when she returns. She raised him, he knows she’s family but the smell is off. I originally got the 42x42x24, fits a litterbox, bowls, toys but larger is better imo.

@Redskye572 So far it's just been some growling and hissing. They are almost never without human observation and I'm willing to take damage to break up a fight if need be. We have just enough space in our RV they can all pick a spot to be left alone. And we have a cat play pen outside that can be used as a timeout spot if Beans (the brother) gets too feisty. Luckily he's the only one really, the other 2 are way cooler. One of em is a little hissy but not aggressively.
@blackknight95857669 oops sorry it’s called “feline non recognition aggression” not facial.

Well I'd say this is a pretty good sign. Beans (left) got up there after Lilly (right) had been there a while, and there was no angst, just laid down like that next to her. #cats #CatsOfCoSo
