I have 3 pinned browsers for Twitter, Mastodon, and Counter Social.

I wonder when one of these will go.

The only thing that tops the death of Twitter I think, is the last 10 minutes of All That Jazz (1979) youtu.be/4JlPK8Rrd1A

To those snidefully replying they'll cross the picket line for , I am sorry to inform you they do not have a sugar-free Boot flavor option.

Man I wonder what it feels like to have a joke cause a multimillion dollar company's stock to plummet overnight.

I had no idea Elon knew how to play the fiddle.

@LAHolloway The whole reason art and higher culture exists in the first place was because we solved the problem of everyone needing to fend for themselves in terms of necessities (i.e. agriculture).

I feel like, as you replied as I'm typing this, that it's that same double standard where money means getting to ignore the rules.

Is it a problem that people in poorer countries can't access books as readily as we can in the US? Yes. Is that the authors' job to solve? No. We don't have the resources to do that.

A society that does not compensate artists for its work results in a society where only the privileged can produce art.

@LAHolloway "Pay the artist" and "Eat the rich" are not anywhere close to contradictory.

@LAHolloway I don't know the context here, but I do feel like sometimes people blur the line between "starving artist needing to be compensated for their labor" vs "rich entity gobbling up property and artificially inflating its value to turn a profit".

We can and should know the difference.

Every once in a while I am reminded my childhood barber openly had white supremacist political ads up on his wall and I was too young to know how disgusted I should be.

@etakeh From the same people that brought you "Fentanyl Is So Dangerous I Saw It Once And I Died"

@FrankCannon Even Lord Paimon's like "that doosh. Please. I have TASTE."

(For those wondering, Eternal September describes the constant influx of new users to internet sites that used to accompany college freshmen discovering it in their first term - and the clumsy fumbling over online etiquette that entails.)

Given the birbsite diaspora, will there come to be a change to the term "Eternal September" to "Eternal November"?

@FrankCannon Given Coke gets used as a marinade ingredient sometimes, this is just a niche shortcut
