@fka_erin thank you. It’s a constant reminder than life is a cycle. Bees do what they do for a reason (most of the time) and we arms beekeepers are merely observers.

Beekeeping can be full of joy and sorrow. Just back from hive inspections, found this poor lady dead and alone - whole hive had absconded. Roughly 80lbs of honey left in the hive, but no bees. Sad.

@yogapaddlerun we made a new version of pecan this year using the filling recipe from Frontier Woman. For some reason it did not set firm - prolly all that butter - but it was and is delicious

@Hansoe she’s a great dog. We rescued her and she gets spoiled. She also gets heavily exercised to keep her weight down and avoid those Lab hip issues. Love her to bits.

@Jimtyson she is one of my queens. Her number helps me spot her more easily. She is also pretty speedy.

@xipher @GroovySooz it’s largely the chemicals we use on yards and lawns to kill pests. These also kills bees or poison the pollen they need to collect. Also mites and disease brought to US that’s can’t be eradicated. We need bees and more bee keepers.
