@mikeflstfi I know you build custom watches and I think you can fix/restore to some extent correct? Any experience with early electronic watches? My grandfathers old quartz analog Timex is gorgeous, but despite new battery it ticks for a few minutes and stops. Might be the mechanism needs lube? I'd love you to fix it if that's in your wheelhouse?

@bfgreen @mikeflstfi while I doubt you want to replace that timex, James Brand just dropped a Timex collaboration that looks pretty nice.

@bfgreen @mikeflstfi I have a few weekenders and a bunch of nato straps I used to wear a ton. Apple watch killed my watch habit. My watch wish list is super long so I can almost convince myself its for the best 🤪

@fuse @bfgreen

Apple Watch is what re-started my watch habit, weirdly enough. I decided I didn't need all the features/notifications/always connected aspects of Apple Watch and decided to go hard into mechanical watches.

@mikeflstfi @bfgreen i will get back there eventually. Hoping eventually to land a grail watch like an Omega Sea Master Aqua Terra (or even better the world timer) or an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. Someday. 🤷🏻‍♂️

When one Speedy isn’t enough.

That’s the grail for me. One day maybe.

@bfgreen @mikeflstfi nice collection! None of my watches are that nice. Seiko, Raymond Weil, Timex, a Citizen flieger I love, a boutique Fitzroy that is just a chonky watch, and a linen faced Hamilton that was my father’s watch before he gifted it to me. If I had the Aqua Terra, I’d probably have as much fun changing straps often where I’d be content with one watch.
