#Oura has released a new update to how it tracks sleep. Vague and full of emptiness: "verified in collaboration with several global research institutes". The fact that they refuse to name them or offer more info means its sus. It seems to alter sleep score based solely on HRV (heart rate variability) which does make a great deal of sense, but I want to dive into it more before I replace it with my current data. 79/85 isn't bad based on this horrible week 😂
@thewebrecluse interesting. My Garmin tracks many of the same data points also via HRV. I bought it to track stress levels after getting shingles a year ago. I found my body is under stress from nerve damage even while I sleep. Impressed by your 2+ hours of deep sleep!
@thewebrecluse sorry to hear about the #chronicillness - fascinated by the Oura ring. Always wondered how long the battery lasted. It took me years to convince myself to get a "smart" watch because I hated the thought of constantly charging it. My Garmin lasts 30+ days on a single charge and had solar to help top up.
@bfgreen Battery lasts a week and a few days. Takes about an hour to charge fully.
