"Smile, Irene, Smile...!!!"

Alfred Hitchcock Presents - Season 7, Episode 39 (The Sorcerer's Apprentice).
The episode wasn't shown during the programs first / original run (though later was shown in syndication, on DVD, etc.), because the network felt it was too gruesome.

From "Alfred Hitchcock Presents..." - Season 3, Episode 26 (Bull in a China Shop).
One of my favorite actors: Estelle Winwood (far-right). I do have vague memories of seeing her (though not knowing who she was at the time) on the 1960's "Batman" series.
Other excellent roles were in "Murder By Death" and "The Producers."
If I need a quick cheering up, just hearing that voice, or seeing her wide-eyed looks is enough to bring me out of the deepest doldrums.

Maybe in the end John Wick will get a cat instead.

LOL - always love seeing Peter Lorre pop up in TV episodes now and then.
Here, in "Alfred Hitchcock Presents..." - Season 3, Episode 10 (The Diplomatic Corpse)

The Altair 8800 arguably launched Microsoft. Now [Dave Glover] from Microsoft offers an emulated and potentially cloud-based Altair emulation with CP/M and Microsoft Basic. You can see a video of the project below. One thing that makes it a bit odd compared to other Altair clones we’ve seen is that the emulator runs in a Docker environment and is fully cloud-enabled. You can interact with it via a PCB front panel, or a terminal running in a web browser. hackaday.com/2023/01/15/micros

From "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" - Season 1, Episode 21 (Safe Conduct) - first shown February 19, 1956.
With both Werner Klemperer (far right) and John Banner (center-left) - several years before they'd star on "Hogan's Heroes."

I just got a copy of "The Trouble With Harry" (1955)...
I hadn't seen this in many years, and as the film opened, the main (menace) theme somewhat reminded me of the main theme of ... "The Beast of Yucca Flats" (1961)...
Though not the same, I now wonder if the latter had been inspired by Herrmann's touch.

EGAD...
This is a bit of a shock:
A *young* Darren McGavin ...

This is from "Alfred Hitchcock Presents..." (Season 1, Episode 13 - The Cheney Vase)

"Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others."

--Groucho Marx

Always loved this snippet of dialogue:

Gregory (Scotland Yard detective): Is there any other point to which you would wish to draw my attention?
Holmes: To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time.
Gregory: The dog did nothing in the night-time.
Holmes: That was the curious incident.
