Well...
Even though the test film poll required a google account - I think most people didn't realize that by simply already being logged in, they could have participated in the poll.
However, paranoia seems to have ruled the day - with people saying stuff like "not signing in to anything" (even though they quite possibly were already signed in).
Bottom line - I'm going to stop conducting my film polls (had been conducting on Mastodon) altogether.
