@jag5081 Maybe a response to urban driving with bumper to bumper traffic and weak mass transit (SoCal, Austin, Atlanta, etc).
White collar types imagine they could be More Productive[TM] if the car managed the crawl to work.
The irony being that cars cause the delays and self-driving will cause _more_ delays because (safety algorithms).
I do like the safety features coming from the effort. I'm a super-pessimist that the cars will ever be FSD, nor should they be, and few would buy anyway.
Tesla’s Full Self-Driving technology is amazing and it will blow your mind

Traveling at approximately 25mph (about 40kph), the Tesla hit the dummy each time.

Okay yeah, mind blown!
@band highly recommend The Ministry for the Future for more ideas like this. Very Dire! But also insightful.

@Jezibaba @LiberalLibrarian very simple mental exercise.
Men: A group of 6 middle aged-ish women is going to decide if you can keep your testicles. Cool?
@Qbae I've seen a few of those and somehow didn't take the hint from the display, but lucked out.

This. Cataloging fresh new material is painstaking, time consuming work. Then figuring out, okay, so what is missing...and was it classified...
I'm sure NARA staff have been hard at it all this time. To say nothing of all the damned electronic documents and messages.

It realistically could have taken this long for NARA archivists to catalog what they _did_ get in the previously returned records and figure out what was probably missing.

@estherschindler the under-appreciated fax. Look at the fax machine - just look: patented in 1843 and still found in the wild.
@LiberalLibrarian I think we must be in the middle of a new pandemic, a brain wasting disease that manifests as arrogant entitled small-minded selfishness.
@killagator same, kitty. I'm in the fight with ya.
