If you’re rightly worried about mosquito-borne diseases like Eastern Equine Encephalitis and West Nile Virus, consider stocking up on these “Mosquito Dunks.” Place them in standing water to kill mosquito larvae. They’re made of bacillus thuringiensis, environmentally safe, and not toxic to pets or wildlife. I use them in drainage swales that retain water after heavy rains.

@cassandra17lina I can't find any standing water but have a robust mosquito population. Have done all the water drainage/mitigation I can think of. I'm going to start tossing these around.

@cassandra17lina ...and how does mosquito biology work? Can I make them an attractive water source loaded with Bti and reduce their population?
